Smart Sightseeing Tour of Vienna

This tour is the perfect introduction into Vienna’s history and culture! And it’s done in the least expensive way: by foot and by public transport.

I will come and pick you up at your hotel and we will set out for a lovely city walk. We will cover all the important sights in the city, have a coffee break and then explore the very chic palace and art museum of Albertina.

In the afternoon we will pass the Secessionist Building, the Naschmarkt (Farmers Market) and then board the subway for 10 minutes and arrive at Schönbrunn Castle.

We will explore the castle with its fantastic gardens, talk about baroque architecture and go see the castle from within. I will give you the Grand tour inside the palace and you will learn everything about the Habsburg Family that ruled Austria for 600 years.

After our visit, we will take the tram back to the city center, where I will accompany you to your hotel or drop you off at St. Stephan’s Cathedral or the Opera.

BEST DAY of our trip! It started with a scenic drive outside of the city on our way to the picturesque Wachau Valley. After an apricot danish in the town of Krems we saw several other quaint towns, and miles of miles of vineyards on our way to our lunchtime cruise down the Danube River and then ended up in the town of Melk and a tour of the Melk Abbey. Susanne planned a simply perfect day – one we won’t forget for quite some time! This was a 10 star tour!
